Innovation: Quiz programme

General Objective
_appropriate practice and innovative approaches to provide for those needs
_promote links between teaching and learning
_provide examples of innovative and and good practice, promote awareness of the diversity of student needs
Specific Objectives
The learns will be able to
_improve or expand knowledge of things either general or in specific area
_enable to think from different angles
_being fun to participate in but with a competitive mind
Conducting a quiz programme in our class room
This activity can provide an excellent means of reviewing for a lesson. By creating their own quiz show students practice their research skills, organise information, work cooperatively and evaluate the need for rules and fair play.
Teacher at first informs the students that today we are going to conduct a quiz programme based on the story'The last leaf' in our class room.l think it surely helps you to review the lesson.
So the teacher divides the class into 3 groups and assign each team to prepare and submit 5 questions for conducting the quiz.Then teacher gives the rules for writing questions.
Rule 1 : prepare multiple choice questions
Rule 2 : use simple sentences
Rule 3 :avoid double negative
Rule 4 : keep the no.of options consistent
After preparing the questions, collects the question papers from each group and select the best ones to use for the quiz programme.To avoid having students answer their own questions.
Before beginning the quiz Programme teacher explains the rules and regulations of the quiz. Teacher choose a captain to present their answer and and select one student as time keeper. In this programme teacher provides the reinforcement to the students.
